Very comfortable, soft, good for day hikes. Everyone says they are really cute (actually in my large size, no shoe is cute, but I could see how they would be cute on a smaller foot). They are spacious and provide a moderate amount of ankle support. My foot doesn't slip very much in them. I have only done a couple of day hikes so far but plan to use them for a three day backpacking trip.

These hiking boots are awesome, bought a size 6, perfect, comfortable, no breaking in at all. You and your feet will be very happy. They look very stylish and cute too.

Love the boots. They do keep your feet very warm with thick socks, they are definitely waterproof. I stepped in ankle deep puddles and snow in Chicago and my feet were still dry, good traction on wet and icy surfaces but not helpful for slippery surfaces, the shoe tends to slide I wear a size 11 which I bought but they were a bit narrow. I probably need wide shoes anyway, very comfortable for any type of weather and for the clumsy it defiantly helps to stabilize your feet, I am 5'11 and 300lbs.

I purchased these after purchasing the Sugarpine shoe. Clearly I find this brand to be comfortable. I got the yellow in the boot; unusual but surprisingly appealing. Never heard of this brand before 3 months ago and now have 4 pair, which I hope will motivate me to get outdoors and use them. Love Zappos!

I rarely write reviews but I just had to write one for these snazzy boots. They are the perfect balance between functionality and style with great colors for a feminine touch. Haven't taken mine out for a hike through very wet conditions yet, though I've worn them in the rain and my feet stayed toasty warm and dry. The first 1-2 times I wore them, I felt some pressure around my ankle by the tongue inside the shoe but that quickly went away and now they are just comfy and wonderful. I highly recommend these boots.

Love these! Use them for dog walking in our yucky winter and wear them to unheated barn for working.

I wear these daily in the winter months. They are very comfortable right out of box! Color is really cute , I get a lot of compliments. They have been tested in snow and seem to be very waterproof!

I love these boots. Best purchase in shoes that I have made in a while. They are very comfortable. They kept my feet warm and snug. I normally wear a size 10 but followed the advice of others and ordered a half size up. I got them for the wet weather we are having in MD. Just an all around awesome boot!

i loved the way they look: the color and the narrow, not bulky shoe. Unfortunately the tongue hurt my ankle bone. Maybe they would have become more comfortable with wear, but I was reticent in case it didn't work. Regretfully returning them.

The boots are exceptionally warm and can be worn for long periods of time very comfortably due to their light weight. Zappos service is exceptional.

I wore these boots walking 8-10 miles over rough concrete and cobblestone in Paris for two weeks in November (rainy, cold). The soles were hard enough to cushion footfalls, the shoes were warm and waterproof and so incredibly lightweight. I typically wear an 8 narrow and with a pair of Smartwool socks, the 8.5 size was perfect.

This is a very nice, light weight boot. I have a high arch and it doesn't quite give me the support I'd like. But other than that they are comfy and nice to walk in. They are also very cute!

I bought these for a fly fishing trip and overall they are great. Waterproof performed well and are very light weight and fashionable looking. I had the same issue as some reviewer with the gusset on the tongue rubbed and dug into my ankle. The fabric from the gusset on the very top ring of the shoe on only one side though so I had to not use the top tie around after it started hurting a lot. I had thinner socks on so not sure if wearing thicker ones will help but may be an issue long term for wearing them a lot. For the price I am hoping it will resolve over time otherwise I may not wear them as much as I like in colder months her in Chicago. So may update once I wear them more and with other socks. I also sized up a whole size also based on reviews and had good room for both thick and thin socks.

I had my fingers crossed these would work for my slightly-wider-than-average feet. The toe box was way too small. I bought my normal size and I could feel my toes touching the front of the boot while I was just standing still. Additionally, they just felt tight across my foot. I decided NOT to try a larger size because I don't feel as though a larger size would really open up the toe box. I ultimately ended up with a pair of Salomon X Ultra Mid 2 GTX Hiking Boots. The Salomons are much less restrictive. They make my feet look bigger but I'll take bigger looking feet over losing a toe nail or two because my boot is too tight.

Nice boot, just too small, too narrow. I usually wear a 7.5 in heels/sandals. Sometimes an 8 in a boot. This was 8.5 and still too small; the 9 would likely be too long and perhaps still not wide enough in the toebox for my bunion.

These boots are very light and I wanted to like them, but they are too narrow in the footbed for someone with a wider foot. A shame they don't come in a wide width.

These were so close! All the rave reviewed got me excited. I really liked the aesthetic and lightweight feel of these boots. They were pretty comfy on but they run SMALL and there was not much toe room, even when sized up. Biggest concerns: 1) They were narrow, and I could see myself rolling an ankle in them because the sole has no flare out at the bottom. 2) They felt a little flimsy/too lightweight for moderate or advanced hiking. 3) No toe room at all. These would probably be fine for really mellow hikes or to wear when gardening or other mild outdoor adventures. Sizing - I normally wear a size 5 and always size up to a 5.5 or 6 in athletic shoes (running shoes, hiking boots etc). I went up to a 6.5 and they felt fine everywhere but the toe box where my toe was still hitting the top/front. A size 7 would have been way too big.

Bought these for a trip to Ireland with lots of outdoor walking in potentially wet conditions. Overall, very comfortable-a little bit wide, great arch support. They felt lightweight like a sneaker but with good ankle support. When they got wet with salt water a funky residue was left behind, but with a good brush and wipe off they seem good as new. Overall, I was pleased with the purchase. Great for all day walking, light hiking etc. Reasonably waterproof.

Cute, lightweight boot. I had to return because there just wasn't enough room in the toe box--a little thin.

I WANTED to love these and I did for the most part. However, I agree with some of the other reviewers. The one and only thing I didn't like about them (granted, I only wore them in my house), was the fact that the gusset on the tongue rubbed and dug into my ankle. The fabric from the gusset sticks out, so it's like there are 2 lumps on either side of the tongue. I am going to try experimenting with thicker socks, but I was really looking for something I could wear with a variety of socks. I don't know if the bumps and rubbing would go away with wear and time. If they were perfectly comfortable, then the price would be well worth it. But as it stands, I don't know if I want to gamble that much on the chance that the rubbing will go away before it causes a blister.

great shoe, but returning. I need more soul and arch support, period. The shoe felt great, light weight, great material. The soul is just not solid enough for my bad/flat feet. Would recommend them though. They are quite narrow

I purchased these boots since I liked the style and they aren't as bulky as other hiking shoes. They are more for hiking around the city, than the woods, but can be used on a hike if needed. They are true to size. I tie them snugly, so my feet don't slide forward. The toe box is nice and wide.

I have a hard time fitting in to hiking boots, but these are really comfortable. I've spent about 10 hours hiking in them and they are very comfortable (I wore them running errands and short stints just to make sure I'd be comfortable on a longer hike). The arch support is OK - could be better, but not bad. The best thing about these boots is that they are feather light! I don't get fatigued on a hike like I do with heavier boots. I've only had them a few weeks, so I can't speak to durability over time, but these are great looking hikers and comfortable right out of the box! I think these boots run a little bit small (but not quite a half size difference). I typically wear a 6.5M or sometimes 7. I ordered them in both sizes. I couldn't even get my foot into the 6.5. The 7 fit snugly (that's what I ended up keeping), but I can only wear a thin sock. Still, I really love the boots overall.
