Growing up in the picturesque beauty of the Emilia Romagna region in Northern Italy, Alberta Ferretti became interested in fabrics and watching her mother, a dressmaker, pin hems and check the fit on women’s dresses she was creating. It wasn’t long before she opened her first boutique in Cattolica, a resort village near Rimini, the town in which she was born.
